Phenotype
Number of petals per flower reduced, number falls acropetally from 2-3 per flower to 0 in later flowers, fewer petals produced at higher temperatures, petals often distorted in shape or trumpet-shaped, petals often oriented sideways or reversed, sepals deeper in profile, occasionally slightly carpelloid.
