constitutive triple response; short root, short thickened hypocotyl, exaggerated apical hook in air as well as in ethylene; very small rosette leaves; flowers 1-2 weeks late; short inflorescence; gynoecium elongates early, often protruding; constitutive expression of ethylene-regulated genes; encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase (related to Raf family).
