DNA-mediated transfection
Plant protoplast (lack cell wall) technology enables transformation to occur, via the take up of exogenous DNA suspended in the culture medium, most commonly catalysed by electroporation. The DNA must also code for specific, selectable markers for efficient recombinant selection.
