3.4 Growth response to the 3 rd condition

Here the N933 strain germinated the quickest on the 3 rd day, with 2 seedlings. On my graph it appears as though there are only 1.7 seedlings that have germinated in the N933 strain. This is in fact due to Microsoft® excel 2002, as the mean number of seedlings was used to plot the graphs, and Microsoft® excel 2002 didn't round them up or down to the nearest whole number so it appears as though 1 and ¾ seedlings germinated. It also appears that the N1601 strain also started germinating on day 3, but this again is due to Microsoft® excel 2002. By day 5 an equal number of seeds had germinated on all ecotypes, but it was the N933 strain that developed first into two cotyledons and true leaves on day 7. However by the end of the experiment more seeds had germinated in the N20 strain.

There were no significant values under this condition. The N1601 strain came close but a probability of 0.15 (A) and 0.10 (B) is not significant enough to rule out chance.
