Phenotype
seedlings have variable numbers of cotyledons; most are dicots, with tricots or tetracots occurring at high frequencies up to 20 percent (incomplete penetrance); increased rate of leaf emergence; early flowering; some siliques have 3 or 4 carpels; some siliques have wrinkled tips; plants are semisterile with shortened siliques and reduced number of seeds per silique; increased root regeneration; dark-grown seedlings have de-etiolated phenotype; elevated levels of cytokinin; allelic to pt (primordial timing), cop2 (constitutively photomorphogenic) and hpt (hauptling).
