Description: The SPL13 gene including the 1.3 kb upstream regulatory region was amplified from genomic DNA of Arabidopsis thaliana ecotype Col-0. Mutations at the miR156 target site were generated by site overlap extension PCR mutagenesis (Ho et al., 1989). PCR products were cloned into pCAMBIA1301 and Col-0 plants were transformed by floral dip method. Transgenic plants carry Hygromycin resistance.
