Description: Transgenic line carrying fluorescent membrane marker pLH13 (p35S::mCitrine-RCI2A) in an as2-7D mutant background. The as2-7D allele has a G to A mutation at base 1,484 upstream of the ATG translational start site of AT1G65620. The transgene pLH13 consists of mCitrine tagged to RARE-COLD-INDUCIBLE 2A (RCI2A) protein driven by the CaMV 35S promoter. The membrane marker silences frequently, and hence requires screening in each generation.

Phenotype

The sepals exhibit folds and outgrowths on the outer epidermis, while the inner epidermis is smooth. The cotyledons exhibit upward leaf curving. The older vegetative leaves show some degree of upward curving as well. The mutant also exhibits late flowering.
